Prince William and Kate Middleton, known for their thoughtful approach to parenting, often share insights into their family life during public engagements. They've discussed everything from favourite bedtime stories to screen-time rules, giving the public a glimpse into their parenting philosophy.

Recently, Prince William disclosed an additional piece of advice he follows with his three children. While attending a community event in London on October 15, hosted by the NFL Foundation UK, the Prince of Wales, aged 42, received an American Football as a gift for his children.

This prompted him to share a playful parenting tip. "Oh, that's very kind. Never go home empty-handed! That's a crucial motto of being a parent," he quipped in a video posted by The Independent.

He added appreciatively: "That's really kind of you. Thank you very much. We'll do some practice together. See how many windows I can smash."

Prince William has recently shared some delightful insights into life with his three children - Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6. While his wife, Princess Kate, 42, has been privately battling cancer for most of the year, William has been stepping up to fulfil public engagements, where he's received numerous small gifts and sweet treats from supportive well-wishers, reports the Mirror.

During these interactions, the Prince has revealed tidbits about his children's current interests, including Princess Charlotte's passion for "dancing and performing" and how all three kids enjoy a good "wrestle over the remote" when deciding who gets to control the TV.

Despite a challenging year for the Royal Family, there was a ray of hope last month when Princess Kate announced she had successfully completed her chemotherapy treatment in a heartwarming video clip featuring her husband and children. A palace insider previously disclosed that despite the trials of the past year, the family remains strong, with George, Charlotte, and Louis appearing "pretty happy with life."

"Those children look pretty happy with life," a palace insider previously told PEOPLE about the Wales kids. "A lot of it is the stabilising normality Kate brings - and that's how she grew up. William absolutely loves it.

"Coming from a different background, she appreciates the importance of having family time," a source close to the Royal household said. She wasn't brought up in that aristocratic setting where you see the children for a short time each day."
